This Is The Song That Never Ends...
Tonight was the Teen Mystery Dinner at the O'Neill's house. Lex and I got our costumes just in time to wear them to the event! So we dressed up and drove over (I actually in all honesty didn't get dressed today until I put on my costume. I didn't see the point...) We were the first to arrive and we got there at the same time as Kaleb and Savannah. At the door we were handed menus and taken pictures of! Kaleb was dressed a a boy scout, Savannah as a homeschooled nerd! Lex and I stuck with the pirate thing. Emily was in her pirate costume too. Then arrived Taylor, Andrew, Robynn, Nathaan, Caleb, Megan, and Sarah. Zach showed me this cool article on Lego Mindstorm NXTs being used to create satellites. It was really neat! And it was super nice of him to show it to me. We sat down and began examining the menus, which consisted of 4 courses, and about 17 things to choose from (including silverware!) which were code named such things as "Bloody Brains," "Eyeballs," "Scared Stiff," and many others. My first course was actually pretty good aside from the fact that my only eating utensil I managed to order was a knife and I was eating spaghetti, olives and a breadstick. LOL Ever eaten spaghetti with a knife? Savannah got sprinkles, a fork, spoon and napkin I think! My second course was a pickle, a fork and a spoon! I got to eat my last bite of spaghetti with a fork... I actually ate the pickle with a fork and knife, just to celebrate my newfound utensils! And Robynn thought that was pretty gross. She hates pickles apparently. Zach's second course (or third maybe?) was chocolate syrup on a plate!! Brenten arrived around this time, late. He was wearing his "Military dress" from which Emily had announced before he arrived, that he was wearing a dress, and after that everyone kept going on about Brenten wearing a dress. Because his nametag read "Schmelling" he gained himself a new nickname via Megan - "General Schmelly". And after that she insisted on delivering messages across the table to "General Schmelly!" She turned to me and asked "What is a message you'd like to send General Schmelly?" Me:"Ummmm... OH! Slinky! Just say 'slinky,' he'll know." Zach: "What is it with the whole 'slinky' thing?" Me: "When we were at Camp Meeting they had this really weird funny song, and every time it said something bad, or really just weird, funny, it would say SLINKY! So we just kept saying SLINKY! I really actually love that song, but it's weird." Megan: (Loudly)"General Schmelly, we want you to sing the slinky song!" Brenten: "Wha - oh! Haha! Well, I think Halie..." (I forgot what he said! But it added up to he was shoving the singing off on me). Me: "Well, I already said that about you!" Brenten: "Well I'll sing it... If you sing the 'Hallelujah eh eh' song." Me: "Really? That song's not as bad! I'll do it if you sing the Lions song! And you have to sing the one part!!" But we didn't. We slacked. After eating we all began to kind of migrate away from the table. We played "Have you ever" which is like a variation of "The Great Wind Blows". It was very dangerous! Everyone fighting over seats and then some outrageously funny ones. I believe one was "Have you ever... been born?" We played some funny signaling game which didn't go so well.. We then asked the parents "Could we just go play ninja?!" It wasn't raining so we all piled outside in the dark to play ninja. Tooo many people in too dim of light. We were altogether confused! Then we split up into girls vs. boys teams. The girls won.. We went back in when we'd had our share of laughing senselessly in the dark and confusion. Then we played the blanket game, and finally Apples to Apples. Apples to Apples was really fun! I sat between Savannah and Brenten and showed them my cards and got to see their cards and between the three of us it was utterly hilarious. That game has some seriously unnexpected words! At one point we all ended up just standing in a circle singing "The Saga Begins" which we got halfway through before it turnined into "The Song that Never Ends" and then "Ten Green Bottles". All throughout the night someone would exclaim "I LOST THE GAME!" (I LOST THE GAME!!) and then a huge chorus of voices would shout "I lost the game!!" Then I complained to Brenten about still not knowing how to play Speed, (Wow what a complainer I am!) and he just said, "Hey did anyone bring a deck of cards?" And then he continued to try to teach me Speed, but just as he began Taylor, Andrew, Robynn and him had to leave. SO I'm hoping Zach and Em will teach me... Later today... ?? Then everyone's parents started arriving and picking them up and pretty soon everyone was gone except the O'Neills, Lex and I. We had enough time for one quick round of ninja before leaving. Lex said to Em on the way out "Love ya! I would tell Zach I love him too (like a brother) but that would be weird." And then Emily pretty much reiterated everything Lex said except leaving a pause before saying "Like a brother" during which Zach said ".. Well I really hope you don't..." Then we went to the Dollar Store on our way home and searched for last minute add ons for my siblings' costumes for tomorrow. Fun fun. Anyways we're home now! Hurray Hurrah! I'm tired and I'm going back to hang with the O'Neills later and I currently look like I have two black eyes thanks to the makeup my mother put on me, (hahaha...) and also from lack of sleep probably so I'll go get some sleep! I watched a few episodes of "Psych" because Megan said it was good and it can go in your instant qeue on netflix. And honestly? I like it! It's almost like a modern day Sherlock Holmes. ROFL. I really like it! Now if I could just catch up on Psych, 21 Jump Street, Bones, and several other TV series I really want to watch (All seasons), and school, and sleep, and time with my friends who are the awesomest, I'll be good! Laterz!

Do You Know What We're Fighting For?
When it's not worth dying for? Does it take your breath away, and you feel yourself suffocating? Today we got a lot done at legos. We seemed to have found our good medium between laughing and productivity. Brenten was LATE! Derek, Lex and I were all there before him, and Lex and I were late too!! By the time he got there we had already duplicated the dual differential robot and began to program. We stayed an extra hour late too! Well at least Lex, Derek, Brenten and I did. Andrew and Robynn didn't come because Andrew was sick and Robynn was behind on school. Makeshift tops were officially banned by Derek as well as "Download and Play". Brenten was overly fond of the download and play and it was causing some minor issues when he would shout "Okay ready? Ready? Ready? It's going! It's going!" And we'd have to jump back out of the way to make way for a missaligned robot to speed out in the wrong direction and destruct an obstacle. While funny, it wasn't very productive. And while Derek's ban was helpful sometimes the whole "I'm going to stop it and restart it if you download and play" thing was a biiitt overboard. In fact Brenten got punched playfully over this one. Not hard, but enough to make him forget about balancing on his swivel chair and fall backward onto the floor. Which is odd because no matter how many times he NEARLY falls, he usually manages to catch himself. Towards the end of our meeting Mrs. Fillmore showed up with a girl saying, "There was still someone out there on the picking table!" She sat in for a little while, and followed Mrs. Fillmore out with Lexie when they went to get the USB thingy we needed. When Lex came back with computer attatchments in tow the girl also came with her. She listened to what we were discussing and Brenten introduced himself and explained what we were doing. I didn't talk to her really, she must've thought I was a jerk. I would've thought I was a jerk probably. I think in the end we all needed a rest. We could've stayed there working forever of course, but a rest from legos was kind of needed. I'll be all ready to go again tomorrow ;). We've officially completed two programs consistently making our score so far 90 points. Derek won't be there tomorrow so he says there'd better be at least a score of 150 points when he comes back on Tuesday. We were going to work on the project again tomorrow but I have decided to wait until Tuesday when we'll have Derek back and have enough people so that someone can go over the power point and skit with me and so that maybe we can finnish the touch ups and begin playing the skit maybe. Practice makes perfect. This year it is again a rule that when running the robot on the obstacle course at the competition there can only be two team members up at the table running the robot per round. We have decided to have two permanent robot runners as we did last year, and as many others do too. I am itching to get our testing for who's running at the table done so they can start practicing. When Allen came to give advice and share his experience I realized even more how essential it is that our people practice a LOT and thus need to get down to it ASAP. Tomorrow will be all robot at legos. Tomorrow's also the International Harvest Potluck. Alexis and I made our pies for the Teen Pie Contest this evening. Mine was deep dish Dutch Apple and Lex's was Pumpkin Chocolate Chip. The house is sweltering. I can't wait until this weekend, we get to see Zach and Em Saturday AND Sunday! I got to play chess with Zach (But didn't win anything as usual). I love when I get to play chess. Anyways maybe I'll be more interesting tomorrow. lol. Laterz

Ohh You Make Me Smile!
We chilled out and did school today. I got to learn all about Heredity in Biology. Fun funnn.. Haploid cells, diploid cells, chromosomes, and all those other important things you learn that will come in SO handy in everyday life later on... I did some history, all about Otto von Bismarck's getting fired and when I got sick of reading over a bunch of things I already knew I pulled out the humongous book on George Washington that my grandfather lent me and actually learned some history ;)). Then I made some brownies and we left. Music was cancelled since everyone was sick except me, and just recently Alexis. So we didn't get to see the O'Neills. But we went to legos and soon after Heidi and Allen, another member of the Heidi's previous team came to mentor our team again. Robynn gave her elevator speech, we explained our now decided project and our ideas for a skit. Brenten announced I had the final draft for his idea... Haha, obviously he missed the part where I threw it out in the trash can on my way out of the room humiliatedly. I still have it on my computer though I guess. He began by saying "Okay, there's a dead body..." Heidi: "Ah! I knew it! How did I know it would include a dead body?" We talked, were filmed, I looked like an idiot when Mrs. Fillmore tried to say "I know Halie's done a lot of research on this and could tell you about it.." And I couldn't. Then we ate nachos and brownies and when Derek, Robynn and I reentered the lego room everyone else was locked out... Just when we were starting to get into Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs mode we had to leave. We had already been informed we were leaving promptly at 6. But not before I was informed that from my last blog when I'd described my uncle Tyler's look as being associated with one of two things that Brenten had been using the look for choice one - Lameness. He proceeded to sing Battery. Not a song I'm particularly fond of. The ones I've recognized so far actually are 'Enter Sandman' 'Sad But True' and 'Never Never Land'... On a funnier note I sent Emily 'Crazy Train' the other day and she never told me whether she'd listened to it, or heard it before as I had bet she had. Also I've had 'Run to the Hills' stuck in my head for awhile now, interrupted only in the car by listening to music when Uncle Kracker's 'Smile' came one. I don't know why, it's not really rock ish, but I love that song! It came on twice today and we turned it up full blast. By the way, anyone who HASN'T heard that song needs to. So moving on from music we went straight to Starbucks from legos. Megan came, making it so that we'd met up with both Ewen kids for different things that day and also Mary Jeffers. They were the only teens there. We had tons of fun and we discovered that Megan and I chrochet scarf rows in different directions. Yeah, laugh it up guys. I was chrocheting. See if I care. We had a blast! We hardly stopped talking for a second. Megan and Lexie got frappuccinos or whatever. Whatever they were they were iced and the genius pair were freezing cold because of it!! Mary was super nice and hung out with us lunatics. Megan will back me up on the fact that I took forever on one row at a time and also that I HATE the second row. The second row sucks. Terribly. But we stayed there forever and just talked and laughed and chrocheted. Now for another matter entirely. It has been implied that the reason I'm not a blue person is that blue people are supposedly sad? Is that right? I'm not sad for the most part I'll agree. I don't like sad songs even. They just seem kind of wallowy, self pitying and make everyone feel sad. The point of music, in my opinion, is for people's enjoyment. I do not enjoy being sad, therefore I do not enjoy most sad music. Frankly my humorous excuse which I keep using is I just never bothered to change it. And it's true! Favorite colors reflect a person I think, and it's difficult for me to pick one! I still like blue: indigo most of all. It's calming and the color of God's awesomely amazing nighttime sky. But maybe it's not my favorite anymore. Maybe I am a green person. Who knows? I don't feel like picking a new favorite color right now. Too much work ;)). Too deep. And what in the world does it mean that I'm "Willing to go along with people even when I don't want to"? Is that good? Bad? It sounds like I'm a pushover! I don't know if that's good then. Being a pushover sucks, I think. One thing I find funny is that B waits to talk to me in person about my blog instead of commenting. It's all cool though. I know you were offended that I wrote about your competitiveness, but honestly I made myself seem worse than you in that post. And maybe I am - "I backstabbed and threw a can of Manwich at you and you continue to be friends with me..." If you really don't like it I'll cut it out of the post. Anyways Laterz!!

Welcome to My Life
Yesterday the Fillmores picked Lex and I up from our house at about 11 to take us to the lego scrimmage. It was a very eventful car ride with Lex in the backseat with Brenna and Bryce, and Brenten and I seated next to a nice big plastic set of drawers full of legos. And by eventful I mean talkative ;)). There was a lot of discussion over music (I'm so glad, one of my favorite things to talk about). Plus B seems to most closely share my music interests, but I like most kinds of music. This, it seemed he was very skeptical of when he realized I liked Metallica - he gave me the same look my uncle Tyler used to give me over music. If he gave me that look it usually meant one of two things: 1. "Are you kidding me? You seriously like that lameness?" or 2. "It's a good band/song, but how can you like those other things and also like this one? Are you sure you like this?!" The thing is, or at least the reason I don't voice my favor of these certain bands is I've been listening to them forever - like before I was born! So I know the song if I hear it but I don't know the bands or song names... I'm fixing that though thanks to Pandora ;)). Particularly we discussed Simple Plan and their song "Welcome to My Life". I went on my Simple Plan kick a year or so ago, but by that time Rachel, previously my main hangout person, had already had her Simple Plan craze so I was pretty much talking to a wall.. I still like them! But I no longer think they're the greatest, just pretty cool. So we finally made it to (Coruscant) th lego scrimmage and it was pouring rain still. Just as we were carrying in the last of the legos and stuff (my old english teacher would kill me for saying "Stuff") Derek arrived and he brought Andrew V. We got in and began on the high workload we still had. Except me of course, who had no idea what needed done so I fidgeted around... Then we had our first run. Lex and B went up and ran the robot. They got nervous, Lex was frustrated because she wanted to take over I think, judging from her look... And Brenten ended up pulling one attatchment apart. Derek's dual differential drive wasn't working at all so his dad was still working on that one and Derek and I were next up so we had to also use the alternative robot design which B and Lex had used for the same reasons. Derek's and my run didn't go well either, alignment was off and the motor was still doing its strange twitch thing... We completed zero missions. So we went back to the computer and did some program changes. I wouldn't quit bugging the guys and following them, plus I was on Derek's team so I got to work myself into doing things. I did a lot of alignment of the robot... We got the two missions working fairly well and then Derek and I went up for another run. Again nothing!! No missions completed. Right after that the man in charge, the guy who had planned the whole scrimmage pointed out to us the jumping robot and the tension on one motor. We had a bad motor all along! We switched it out for a new one and right away it ran SO MUCH SMOOTHER!! Only problem? We'd modified all our programs to cope with the bum motor... So we changed some programs and had it consistently running very well on two missions! Once again Derek and I went up for a run and guess what? We still failed! Alignment issues!! Then for an hour we had free time and we got everything running consistently and perfect - of course there were no more runs! Augh! Frustrating, but it was wonderful! We were all good natured and laughing, it was as though a weight had been lifted - we hadn't been programming wrong or anything else. It wasn't our fault. The ride back we stopped at two places, Harbor Freights (Alexis and my first time ever going there) and Home Depot. And then home. This was lots of time for joking and laughing and (I LOST THE GAME!) losing the game... Which B's dad has now banned. lol. Today was very uneventful other than the fact that I'm still not sick and everyone else is so music is cancelled but I still get to go to Legos without Lex. And it was Kate's dinner night and she doesn't know how to cook so I assisted her in making pizza. Yummm! Anyways Laterz!!

You Don't Know How You Met Me, You Don't Know Why...
I will post more of my things about my friends later, just because I like getting myself into trouble lol. I f I say something they don't agree with I could just find myself being slapped in the face intentionally this time... Today we hung out, my mom went shopping and Lex and I babysat. Until it was time to go for Legos, we were sitting at home at 2:44 and that's when I started to go, "Um hello? We should be arriving there in 15 minutes and the kids are still here, no way are we making it on time!" I made some brownies, yes Em I used your signature treat ;). So we finally made it to Legos after calling Jedi into the yard over and over. He had altogether too much energy, I love that dog! He's still a puppy which is why he has so much energy, but he's also big, being a black lab. It was raining! Gosh that could've come in handy yesterday! Poor Galleria mall. LOL I never went to that place much anyways, but it sucks that someone would do that. We actually got a lot done today building attatchments, programming and other things. It was just Lex, Robynn, Derek, Brenten and I. Brenten helped me out with the basics of programming, since Lex had "neglected" to help me learn anything. We've got one obstacle down and a good start on others. We stayed late, built jigs and made progress. I can't wait until tomorrow. I can't believe how much I'd love to just do this every day! I SHOULD get to sleep though, so that my sleep time can rival Derek's who is pretty much the person witht the best sleeping schedule at this point. B was displeased that I said he "was frustrated when he couldn't win a competition". I thought it was true.. I didn't mean anything bad really, just that he was determined and kinda on the competitive side. Is that so bad? Sorry B. So does anyone else realize what "The Munsters" is? I, for some reason, love that show!! Okay Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is so totally awesome!! So much good material for randomness!! FLSBDFR! RATBIRDS! I have had the song from my title stuck in my head for a long time now... I don't think it's gonna go away! Oh well, at least it's a good song for stuck in your head ness! Anyways, night everyone, Laterz!

There's A New Way To Be Human!! - Switchfoot
Derek
The thing about you, Derek, is that I can never tell what you're thinking! Just when I think I;ve figured it out, you say the thing furthest from what I assumed! This makes it all the more fun to play things with you like ninja - if I'm facing you I should probably be watching my back... When you speak seriously or in command it usually seems the most commonsense thing to do, to the point where I'm thinking "Why didn't I think of that?!" You're usually positive, which is amazing and admirable these days! And I've found through Lego competition experience and others you're typically calm when everyone else is abandoning sanity in their nervousness. This is, in itself very calming. If you are going to attempt something it's not going to be hesitantly, you'll give it 110%. You like parkour and chain mail. I like that you are who you are and don't pretend or care to be anyone else. When you arrive at a teen event you don't sidle in to the darkest corner, like some, you join your friends straightaway, across the room through the middle though they may be! Always a fun person to talk to - emosewa in fact! Conversations between us are now constantly riddled with "ATLANTIS!" Which I'm afraid you'll never let me live down! And of course our very LITERAL poke wars! Thank you Facebook, but your virtualty has worn off! We both want to join Karate, which will be totally awesome! Oh yeah, and did I forget to mention what a total genius you are with a few Legos? Point being, glad we're friends D, you're super emosewa!

WAAAOOOWW! LIVIN' ON A PRAYER!! - Bon Jovi
Brenten
You are the person I am most likely to get into a random shouting match with screaming things like "GOLDFISH!" We always get into random joke kicks! I have officially backstabbed, and (unintentionally!!) slapped and nearly thrown a can of Manwich at your face. And yet you continue to befriend me - 2/3 teens are in an abusive relationship, could you be one?? loljk. Even though you're the best joke cracker of my friends you've also got your definite prominent smarts. Too many times I've heard soemthing, gone "Whatever that means..." and you began, "Well actually it means...". A party never seems small when you're there, your boistrous personality fills up any place! You're typically fairly honest, which is a very good thing, except on rare occasions (Atlantis :O). You become frustrated with any competition you can't win, which is determined, but you can let someone else win sometimes (which I realize you do). You do awesome things in gymnastics which I practically trip just watching or hearing about! You are extremely contagious. How you get the amount of people to like you that you do is insane, although I can't say I don't know how! For the record you can probably sing "Livin' On A Prayer" better than I can despite the teasing you've endured! Go Squirt! SLINKY! You got me addicted to Weird Al, before I knew you well I knew and loved a few, but obviously ultimately it was your fault! If I ever feel like singing "The Saga Begins" always comes to mind now... Thanks. You love airsoft, parkour, chess, (AUGH! :P). And then of course you've seen alllll those movies I still haven't seen! You rock B

Emily
Emily YOU ARE A NUTCASE! Most of my friends are! but you more so than the others I'm fairly sure! Congratulations! That being said you're totally SICK!! Totally laid back and go with the flow-y, you're just as likely to cuddle Jeni as pick up an airsoft gun and shoot someone! Super random! Half the things you say I don't understand, and the other half are a stream of hilarious quotes and inside jokes, or else the creation of an inside joke! I cannot belive you actually got your mom to believe you duct taped Zach to the wall! And plus... You look awesome in a mustache!! You enjoy fencing. You can and have successfully gotten children's songs I've never even HEARD stuck in my head! If there's ever a loud outbreak in the back of the room you probably caused it. You don't pretend to know things you don't, and you probably don't have to, you're really smart! You love airsoft, parkour, and are pretty much willing to try anything our group of friends is trying. You are hilarious and when I was in Alaska you and Zach were the only friends from California I remembered. Your favorite color's green, you love to read alllll the time which is super cool! You are really awesomely random Em! SLINKY! Love ya!

1812 Overture - Tchaikovsky
Zach
Zach, you are a mastermind! The one thing I can't figure out about that is... are you an evil or good mastermind?? You love to read, which is an awesome trait in our generations! You always seem to be thinking, plotting, working things out and as a result you're very knowledgable about things I haven't even given much thought to! You are an airsoft addict and put lots of time into that as well as PARKOUR!!! You love fencing, which honestly just seems so... you! You cook, you play tons of instruments, you blacksmith in your backyard!! I am constantly learning new outrageous things you've done! Other than a seriously literal genius you're also good natured and humorous (I imagine thanks, in part, to Emily!). But also thanks to Emily you feel the need to watch some things you do in your own house with caution, which is good for laughs at the very least! I like the way you think things out so logically and figure things out, sometimes I'm sure you bear an eerie resemblance in manner to Sherlock Holmes! You enjoy playing ninja, which is always a plus. Maybe someday I'll actually beat you at a chess game! But until then I'll keep trying to as long as you're willing to keep winning ;). You are one of my parents' favorites of my friends (You, Em and Brenten). And weirdly, in case you ever wanted to know, when I lived in Alaska and hardly had any friends I would always think "I wonder what ever happened to Zach and Emily? We used to have so much fun! I wonder, if we still lived in California, if we'd still be friends? They were so cool!" I guess God decided to answer my question!! I don't know how we can always have so much fun! Fake mustaches at Brock's and all that :)).

Everything, Everything'll Be Just Fine. Everything, Everything'll Be Alright Alright!
So yesterday was fairly uneventful aside from the evening at which point Alexis and Sam dug out Lexie's 3D movie glasses and began running all over the house stealing them from each other and yelling "No I am the real Clark Kent!!" Sam! Always the character! In fact afterwards he insisted on carrying around a purple purse, pretending it was full of cookies!! Lex said to him, "Hey let me see what's in your bag!" So he brought it to her and after further inspection said "Your man bag's empty, Clark!" I don't care what you say, those were the best snickerdoodles I've ever had ;). Today we got to hang with the O'Neills before going to music and we played ninja in the yard. It was totally SICK!! of course we went in after Emily acquired injury via Zach when they were the last ones in the game, that's when we realized it was time to start walking back to lessons. The O'Neills decided to accompany us! Yay! So we walked down to the church and brought the Imaginiff cards LOL. We sat in there and played and talked and actually looked at my piano books which Emily announced were "EASY!!" Lex ended up taking her lesson first, and reluctantly with Kate's guitar. Once finnished Emily Zach and Lex went outside, apparently to play ninja while I had my lesson. About halfway through Zach reentered without the two other girls, leaving me to wonder what they'd done to him :)). He just sat through my lesson - might I say, the worst lesson I've ever had! I have told my mom this and she said Zach should sit in more often because her theory is I played worse than usual because he was there. LOL sorry Zach, if ya end up sitting bored through any more of my lessons! After that we drove Zach and Em back to their house. Emily and Lex giggled the whole way, apparently they have some new secret and frankly I'm a little freaked over what in the world they're discussing! But I try to ignore.... Then we went to Legos. First our whole team went to Safeway to talk to a local pharmacist about our project, share and ask his thoughts. It went pretty well, aside from the fact we were all paralytically afraid to talk! Or maybe that was just me - I can never tell. We went to Legos then (if we're going to cut out the car ride which included much poking! Derek, Brenten, Andrew and Ben all sat in the back seat, Robynn, Lex and I in the second, Mom and Mrs. Ewen in the third and Mrs. Law and Mrs. Fillmore in the front. I was poked a LOT by Derek mainly...) Once there Brenten was enlightened as to my favorite color -blue. The first time I asked him what he thought it was he said "Green." While green is in my tops, blue's just always been my trusty fallback. The kind of blue I like is actually more of a dark indigo ish. But green's awesome too! I launched into the story of how when I was littler some guy friends of mine had told me that blue was a boy color and girls couldn't like it. B said "Oooo... You beat the tar out of them didn't you?" "No... Actually I told their mother... I was like 5 or 6." "Did you beat the tar out of her? " "No. She told me they could do whatever they wanted." "Oh.... Then you beat the tar out of them?" "No!! Apparently I've become more violent as I've gotten older!" Okay truthfully I WANTED to beat the tar out of those boys. But I didn't. I was a nice 5 year old... Insensitive typically unemotional as I still am... But nice. For a five year old. I poked Derek in the back a lot... hard. "I didn't poke you that hard!!" He protested, my reply was "Well you poked me MORE!"I barely got anything done at Legos. Just when I'd gotten the sliderocket up for editing and had BEGUN, it was time to leave. I remembered motors for a robot this time lol. Suckishly Lex and I can't go to the Thursday meeting - Ortho appointment... This evening I got to play the usual chess game with Zach, and listen to some pandora, and take a LOT of color quizes... I've got some questions for you B, next time I see you/talk to you... Definitely by Friday. Yay! Anyways, Laterz!!

And I'm WANTED! Dead Or Alive!
I didn't wake up until 8 this morning, and even then I'd only gotten 5 or 6 hours of sleep! So we packed up the car and left to the ranch. We weren't very upset that we were a little late, unlike most times, it was all friends and the host was family so it was all good! Well mostly.. We were driving and checked the clock - it was time to be there! "The O'Neills are probably there.." Said my mom. "Oh yeah they are!" Lex and I agreed. Shortly after we got a call from my grandma saying that some people were there, "Brenten's here!" she said. We had only just gotten a call from Mrs. Shirley saying that they were right behind us and that Mrs. Fillmore was right behind them! "Are you sure?" mom asked. "Yes! I know who Brenten is!" When we got there Brenten was was not there. My grandma apparently thought Andrew V was Brenten!! At least I'm assuming so because Andrew V was the only light headed guy there. I was itching to get there then, I was leaned way forward in my chair and way anxious. The O'Neills, Andrew V, Derek and his friend Ethan were there!! We went out to the barn, while I was told the amusing story of how my grandma had greeted everyone while brushing her teeth. It was nice of her to greet everyone anyways I think, it probably would've been much creepier if they were just sitting out there! The Laws arrived soon after, and we started picking teams. When the Fillmores arrived we were already walking! When Zach and I got into the barn Brenten had already joined the other group and died, he was laughing and shaking his head as usual as though we'd done something wrong, which was ignored as we continued. "Whats new?" "Oh nothing! Long time no see huh?" We played lots of different games and did lots of running! Zach and Em remembered Imaginiff! So we took turns rolling and asking questions, not really playing properly. There were too many people anyways. It was quite possibly the best turnout we've ever had: Andrew V, Andrew L, Taylor, Robynn, Zach, Emily, Derek, Brenten, Ethan, Lex and I. But then again, I missed Zach's game! We got to play Ninja but lately I've had some trouble with not being able to finnish Ninja games and this was no exception! Ethan, Zach and I were the only ones left in one and never got to finnish that one! We ate haystacks for lunch, the guys were told to leave SOME food for everyone else :)). Em dumped some water on some people and I dug out the clothespin from Camp Meeting!! When Brenten saw it he was shocked I still had it - "Is that.." Me: "THE CLOTHESPIN!!" The clothespin was stuck on me during class one evening at camp meeting by some unknown person. On one side it says "SHH Pass it on!" and the other "Gumdrops Yumm!" I always forgot it when I went to class though so I stuck it on Brenten since he was around our camp every day and maybe he would remember it I thought. He stuck it on one of my siblings and it circled back to me somehow!! So I found it when I got home from Camp Meeting! I just dug it out for this event so we could pass it off on other people in our groups again!! Taylor was the one who ended up taking it home! He wanted to know - "Is that good or bad??" I'll have to message him that you're supposed to try to pass it off on someone else without them knowing. Anyways we ate cupcakes (Ha ha yes I get the irony) and ice cream. I went to check on Bruno, my uncle's lab mix dog. He's actually really mild mannered compared to how he used to be! He's such a sweetie! Tyler just leaves him at the ranch for his parents to take care of. I wish I could take that dog home sometimes! We were told we were to go make the best of our leftover time since we'd all be leaving soon so we did. I accidentally left my jacket and glasses at the house so I walked all the way back, found my jacket and searched out a pair of glasses which I ended up finding in my pocket... I ran back and as I'd expected they'd already began the game without me. So i sat on the path and waited for everyone to make it back. Brenten came back first dead. Then eventually everyone else - panting and wide eyed. Apparently it was quite an intense round I missed! We played some more, I didn't play an American for the whole day! I was always a terrorist! Gosh! Andrew and I want to get AEGs at the same time! lol. That's not likely to happen for me until January though sadly :(. I even got to sing The Saga Begins! That's nothing new though, I obsessively sing that song every day... Taylor said "Wow I've never actually heard you sing before! It was weird!" "I'm always singing! How can you not have heard me sing??!" I replied. But admittedly last year I got on some weird shy kick. I've mainly overcome that... I got a few silly bands, I think Savannah told me about them like MONTHS ago about them but I've only just begun to see the things! I have purple and yellow ones on my wrist right now! During the next to last game I was on the side of one of the barns with Derek shooting at me on one side and I knew Zach was coming up on the other. Derek had just gotten Emily so I began to slide down the wall towards where Zach was coming up. Unfortunately he noticed that and came rushing aouound the corner shooting. That hurt.. Mainly my finger where there's an odd bubbling of skin which my mom and Grandma have now clarified as a blood blister. Oh yay. So I sat out the next game in the barn with Derek, Andrew and Lex. Just when we were getting ready to leave and join everyone flooded back in the barn saying we had to pack up and go. But Derek and I are super excited about the Miladi's karate place! I really hope Derek gets in too! That would be soo cool! It would be amazing if Derek, Brenten, Taylor and I all got into the same class! I would just about die. Plus I wouldn't have to log my stupid PE anymore (hopefully). So the O'Neills went home with the Fillmores and Derek, Andrew V, and Ethan went with the Laws. I was very envious. There were two things I was particularly envious of today! Not getting to ride home with friends, and lucky Derek's water backpack... It was a little hot! Speaking of which, everyone partook in the Hot Tamale eating! Yaya! It was so funny and cool! Andrew V and I have established that neither of us have a video camera for such things so SOMEONE is going to have to step up and remember one because my friends are just too funny! So I was talking to my grandma, thanking her for letting us play there and she said "You guys can come over and do it again!" Not in those exact words, but I can't remember her exact words so :P. I told her we've been going crazy wanting to have an all nighter and she was perfectly happy with that! She said we could use the boat and play from there too! I am soo excited! Oh and my friend Morgan wants to try out airsoft. I explained to her what it was and she said she thought it sounded awesome! Of course my description may have been a little biased by my fun I've had, but still! She wants the date to our next game and to see if she can join in maybe?? As soon as we got home mom wanted us to pick up the house... So we tidied up and then I laid down on the couch until my mom told me to go change my clothes. Apparently they were dirty. So I changed into shorts, got back on the couch and fell asleep!! I totally crashed and I needed it! I should sleep more at night! So this evening I was on the couch building the simplest robot possible... The one that the instructions come in the box for. I discovered a few things... Although I packed up my robot and brought it home from Legos I forgot to bring ANY motors!! Good luck with that one Hay! Also I'm missing some pieces from the set so the building so far is more difficult without motors or certain pieces... I want to look into it more online and get into the programming thing. Looks like I'll be learning without the motors until Tuesday... Which means anything I try to program, my very first programs, I won't be able to test!! Bad. Very bad. It's gonna be a looong two days! Anyways so I was sitting there building these pieces when my mom suddenly laughed. "What?" "You haven't changed at all since you were five, Halie!" "I know... But why?" "When you were littler you whenever you got really into anything you'd just sit there totally oblivious to anyone else, totally focused on what you were doing and hum! Your songs have just changed - that's it!" It was then I realized I had been humming "Dead or Alive" subconscioussly and could not remember a thing that had happened within the last hour except what I was working on... Wow. Annnnd Emily just left me alone after winning the chess game we were playing! Without saying bye. :(. So on THAT NOTE! I bid you good night! Laterz!!
They Call It Thanksgiving And That's Okay!
Today we went to play rehearsal. Fun fun! Actually the kids are very cute! I've officially gotten the part od coach! WOOHOO. And Bradley and Sam are my football players! They're so adorable! But it was a little tedious and by the end I had a headache. They sang a LOT of songs, one of them, my title, sang by a couple little Native Americans. "We've been invited to a Harvest Festival! Livin' it up for three whole days! Harvest Festival! They call it Thanksgiving and that's okay!" We went to Legos, Abb and Kate went to hang with Brenna and Aimee, everyone came except Ben. Brenten and Mrs. Fillmore were late, they were in town, meaning that when we pulled up and a vehicle sped past in a big cloud of dust and mom shouted "Who's that?!? Oh my gosh it's Brenten!!" It was NOT Brenten... LOL. Derek and I began on the project slideshow work and when Brenten got there he also joined us. Then he got fidgety as usual and decided to research online. He decided Firefox is epic... I don't know about that. But he found a medical report on something almost exactly the same as what we've been coming up with for our project.. This is the time for the sound effects to come on ( DUN DUN DUNNNNN!!). We were very upset - I could tell because he wouldn't stop reading it aloud and then re explaining what everything meant. At first it was helpful, after awhile I understood what it meant and it was kind of more of a nervous thing. But it wasn't too intense, not with plenty of shouts of taunting "ATLANTIS!!" to keep everyone laughing. Why? Sometimes I'm just so oblivious and gullible! But you've got to admit, not always!! Lexie was taught by Andrew to program, and it turns out, according to Mr. Ewen she's a natural!! She got it right off and was programming like crazy right away! Mr. Ewen said "She'll be better than you guys by tomorrow, mark my words!!" to Brenten Derek and everyone else!! I said, "Oh good she can teach me since no one else bothered to!" Mr. Ewen, "High fives!!" Me, "Oh yeah!" Brenten, "But you never ASKED us to teach you! Hey, do you want to learn? I could teach you." Me, "A little late now! I'm learning from the best!" Mr. Ewen, (to B) "Oh yeah! You're second class citizen now!" Anyways we had some fun and then when fudge barswere served we never returned for work in the Lego room, instead choosing to spend our time playing Ninja!! I won some today, I wasn't as tired as I was yesterday! Apparently Brenten's grandmother asked why we had all been hitting each other on the gravel on tuesday after witnessing some Ninja games.... Haah! So after packing up my robot (I'm going to learn to program now, if I have to teach myself!! Lex has not answered when asked if she'd teach me) we made our way over to the shop. And onto the trampoline... I was hesitant to join them as the last time I'd gotten on that trampoline I'd fallen through the springs and hurt my ankle... Ouch. But truthfully I think last time someone bumped into me causing my failing fall! Not that I needed the help! I do realize I am quite the klutz! Yes, Emily, vertically upright challenged.... Anyways so Derek, Lex, Brenten and I all got on and jumped, and stole jumps and bounced other people (B get your mind out of the gutter!). I didn't last long without incident, and was bounced high into the air, flying off the trampoline very ungracefully and just managing to stop myself with much effort before crashing into a nearby examination table... Ha Ha. We were then called off the trampoline and sent to fetch my younger sisters. Brenten was grinning while we were leaving and I had my arm around one of my sisters' shoulders. I announced "She has a very extreme condition!" His face sobered imediately and looked both concerned and confused, until I finnished "stupidity!" And his face snapped back into grin mode, eyes widening and looking surprised. "She totally bought it too!" And then Katlyn was swept out the door and down to the waiting car. To say the least we were very reluctant to leave Lex, Brenten, Derek and I! Once home we were chillin in my living room and Bradley had just gotten into PJs. "Hey Bradley!" I said, "I thought you were going to sleep in THIS shirt!" I tossed it to him. He smiled impertinently and when I happened to glance back at him he had slipped the shirt thrown at him on OVER the shirt he was already wearing. Very funny Bradley! We ate pizza for dinner. I had a very fun chat with D tonight. Yes it included "ATLANTIS!!". But also he heard about Miladi's, the Karate place, and that they're a vendor of SSCS so he might join too now!! I can't wait to join myself!! We had what Derek described as "A deep theological discussion." lol. Oh and I was talking to my new friend Morgan about airsoft and explained what it was and everything then asked if she'd like to try and if her parents were okay with that sort of thing. She replied her parents would probably be fine with it and that she'd love to try as soon as possible (besides tomorrow of course), so that's exciting!! Yay! Anyways I better get some to bed before TOMORROW!! I'm soo ecstatic!! I'm going crazy in my mind! I mean even more so than usual!! I better get to sleep! Maybe I'll dream more about Camp Meeting!!? I loved it there! It was so fun! Probably why I keep dreaming about it! But we had to miss Zach's party while there and that was really suckish! Anyways good night! Laterz!

Late Night! Come home! Work Sucks! I Know!
Today we did lotsa school and then went to Legos. Lex didn't come this time, she had some school to catch up on. The younger two girls went to Miss Shirley's for Horse Club meeting lol. Actually the girls' Horse Club meeting is probably the main reason I still got to go to Legos... We were early and I began cleaning off the cluttered lego building area before B got there and from working. His hands are still very brown! Then arrived Robynn and Andrew, and Derek. We went in pairs building 20 minute robots. I did it with Derek, Andrew and later on after Derek had left Ben. I never got to try it with Brenten or Robynn. We had a lot of fun and a lot of jokes, and a lot of popsicles!! Annnd I learned zero about programming :(. Yesterday Sam found my boxes of Hot Tamales on my desk and opened them thinking they were gum. When he found they weren't gum he closed the box as best he could and left it there, where little Lily found them later. She ran out to us clutching the box of Hot Tamales, face all red and grinned. I took the box from her but they were really pretty much gone! Since then we have found only two Hot Tamales placed strategically on the girls' table in their bedroom by Sam, in hopes they would eat them and burn their mouths! Lily ate most of them! And she LOVED them! She fought to get the boxes from me, but unsucessfully. I'm out a box of Hot Tamales... I was just talking to Brenten and he got off work early tonight because one of their machines - (the huller I think?) broke, so now they're waiting for some people to come and fix it and they have to go out and work first thing in the morning!! In case ya didn't know - Brenten? Not a happy morning person! No offense or anything.. Neither am I! Or Em.. He'll probably be tired tomorrow... Oh gosh I have Legos and Play Rehearsal tomorrow.. Better go to bed... After a few chess games ;). SATURDAY'S THE BIG GAME! SHA BAM! I AM INCREDIBLY EXCITED. Betcha couldn't tell! I can't wait!! We got to play a little Ninja today after Legos, I hope we get to play again today. I also hope my grandma Barbara picks Lex and I up from Legos and takes us to the ranch, however unlikely. We're staying the night saturday anyways I think... SATURDAY!! I want to learn to play Speed, and it will be hilarious to introduce our Imaginiff victims to the hilarious game!! That is, if Zach and Em remember?? You guys better! And everyone bring as many decks of cards as they can! I want to play some major Nuts and Speed. I've never played Speed, and after all the good reviews I'm anxious to learn! Anyways again... SLINKY! Good night guys! Laterz

Ah Ah Ah Ah Stayin' Alive!
Yatasay people! I am currently playing yet another chess game. It's become somewhat of a ritual to play, or in my case so far, lose some rounds of chess every evening. I have learned that Brenten is an evil mastermind at the game, and could kill me at any moment no matter how I move. I've played more with Zach, who although has not lost a game to me yet, is fun to play with because I don't get the feeling he will kill me IN THREE MOVES just for the heck of it ;)). Yesterday was Abb's birthday! She's 9 now. BAM! She went with mom to drop Sam off at his Kindergarten class and to get doughnuts. And as we later found, to pick out all her birthday presents herself! lol. We abandoned the idea for a party in the park - it was a lil windy and Aimee was sick. SO they decided to have her party at the Ranch same day as airsoft. Not cool. I was less than pleased to say the least. Anyways my mom bought like 5 pizzas and we ate tons. Aunt Andrea and cousin Annajoy and grandpa Moore came to eat with us. Then we had root beer floats yumm! I actually didn't have one. I was too full of pizza... It was super funny - during dinner aunt Andrea got a phone call from uncle Brandon and his ringtone was Star Wars!! Today we did some school, as usual. I was a little tired - or perhaps bored of math, because I fell asleep on my math book! I was awoken by my mom announcing we should be leaving soon. It was then I realized - it was Tuesday! Thus meaning Lex and I were bringing something good for Legos. I ran into the kitchen and made some peanut butter cookies. Had to be the simplest recipe ever - seriously I got it off the back of the peanut butter container! They were actually kinda bland, considering the usual rich yuminess of peanut butter cookies. And we were off, over to music first. My performance, considering my potential performance at music today, was pitiful. Shameful. I passed nothing other than theory. Wow. Anyways afterwards Lex and I went over to the O'Neills'. The walk there is always so fun! We never get to walk in our neighborhood! When we got in front of their house Alexis and I executed a perfectly failed... I don't know what you'd call it! She was running, I was pretending to run and at the last minute I rushed up behind her, grabbed her shoulders in an attempt to jump in front of her, tripped over HER flip flop and thus caused us both to nearly faceplant and also managing to make her lose her flip flop!! The door flew open and Emily came out shouting "What was THAT??" Then Lex and I both started talking at the same time until EM hugged us and we all went and sat on the porch swing. Pause... Em: "Wanna play Imaginiff?" Us: "YEAH!" Lexie really wanted to play chess, so we went to the cupboard and got out two chess sets and Imaginiff. We played chess and Imaginiff - at the same time! Actually Emily was playing two chess games and Imaginiff all at once :D. We brought Em a peanut butter cookie. She doesn't like peanut butter. But she ate it! We listened to "Believer" over and over and over. And over. Mrs. O'Neill, Jeni, and Zach actually got home from suitability before we left! Zach ended up finnishing mine and Em's game for Em. And winning of course. We really had to go then though... and we did. We ate leftover pizza from last night on the way over and arrived almost on time for once. About three minutes late... Ben walked there! The Laws and Brenten showed up shortly after our arrival, apparently Derek and his mom had been sitting there awhile! Anyways as soon as Mrs. Fillmore came we began a very trying and interesting activity. We were each paired off and had our left hands tied together and had to do certain jobs... together... Lexie and Derek were a pair. Andrew and Brenten. And Ben and I. Robynn got off lol. Andrew and Brenten were really nuts! I'm convinced that one of them would've sustained injury had the grownups not been there and the tie was really stuck! Ben and I worked fairly well. Neither of us knew how to program though so that was a bit of a bump... We're learning. When I suggested everyone in our team should be learned in both the project and robot, knowing their way around each area should they choose to favor either I got that "Are you serious, you retard" look from Brenten. Greeeat. Always a pleasure to get that one. After Legos we ended up playing Ninja! YAY! I have been wanting to soo bad lately! We only played one game though and I am dying to play more!! Saturday Halie, Saturday, you'll get ur fill of Ninja. Ah. Happiness! lol. Em and Zach you better remember Imaginiff! I got two boxes of Hot Tamales so we can have some FUN with those!! Oh yeah! On second thought perhaps you should also bring your camera Em? lol, My mom's is broked and they'll probably have my grandma's at the birthday party... =P. Anyways I'm tired and I'm gonna try to win Em at chess now since Zach got off! Probably to no avail, but nonetheless!! I have to keep trying! Plus it's just so darn fun!! Mom had big spider troubles this evening. Practically went into hysterics over the big brown hairy looking thing she found in her room. She kept screaming for me until I came and it kept moving, all the while my mom was scared beyond belief, and I finally got the thing, under threat of being kicked out of the house for the night. Haha. Anyways that basically sums up my past two days - perhaps I should go for shorter blog entries every day instead of long every other day ones? Maybe. Anways back to chess! Laterz!!

The Guillotine... Ouchie
So the other day Alexis and I left Legos early to go to Teen Girls' Movie night. We had a total blast! But I missed my guy buddies. It was at this point I realized - Hey! Nearly all of my closest friends are guys! Not that it matters at all to me, it just sucks when there's something like, I don't know, a girls only event and I hardly know anyone. So we set off. We were using our GPS and every time we failed to execute perfectly the precise turns we would end up on the wrong street and our GPS would automatically create a new route for us, telling us to circle the block or some nonsense. Anyways we finally made it! When we got there Emily was already there with our hostess, Hannah! After that arrived Maddy, Claire, Sarah, Catherine, and Morgan. So yeah, I hadn't even MET half the girls there. They had the tiniest birds I have ever seen!! We set up Guitar Hero, but there was much trouble in the setup and by the time it was ready to go we were called in to make our pizzas. We never ended up getting to play Guitar Hero sadly. They had the greatest junk food ever!! Potato chips, Cheetos, M&Ms, Hot Tamales, Junior Mints, Whoppers, Chex Mix and more I think! I had never tasted Hot Tamales before and Emily siad she had, she said she didn't like them - "Too spicy." Of course this sealed her fate as absolutely HAVING to taste them during that evening! So we just chilled and talked a LOT! Em, as usual, got some quite interesting photos of different people! Hannah had all theses Lego buildings up on this shelf like area near the roof. She had a house, which was her favorite, she said, because it actually had little furniture in there and everything. She had a Cinema, and a lot of other ones I can't remember! So when our pizza was done we started the movie, 13 Going On 30. It was interesting, definitely had its funny parts, I know I've seen it before with my cousin Sydney, way back when we were best friends! I must've been like 8. I wasn't that into it then - she liked that kind of thing. In fact I distinctly remember her watching Grease during that same visit and I couldn't sit still long enough to catch anything or even care. It puzzled me then, of course, because "she's younger than me"! Anyways the movie finally ended, and we all did what now? Went outside into the dark to play Ninja on the trampoline, of course! Did I mention it was really dark? We ended up back inside though and once we were all sitting down on the couches we couldn't stop laughing out hysterically, probably thanks to the abundance of sugar we'd consumed by this point! Lex and Em decided to eat a Hot Tamale each, together and I videotaped it, unbeknownst to the recipients until after the incident was over. Then the whole roomful of us decided to do it! Em got out of it by videoing it. One girl, Catherine, ate twelve then at once!! I ate only three because I'd gotten mine last and only three were left in the box! So everyone was huffing and puffing and squealing and attempting to unglue their jaws and also trying to keep the stuff in their mouths and other various things! Very possibly the funniest vid Em's ever taken! I'm fairly sure it is! I told her, "Maybe even better than Zach launching himself at that wall!" Her reply was, "Nothing will ever be as funny as that!" We gave Em a ride home afterward, and asked if Zach had been unhappy about not being able to go to a teen event Em got to go to, and Em said, "No, he's watching Iron Man 2. I didn't really like the first one. Now he can watch without interruption!" The next day we had a party for Abbie, Bradley and great grandpa Coldenhoff, whose birthdays were all in October. We had a few more relatives born in that month, but they couldn't make it there. It was super fun, mom made cupcakes (including sugar free ones for the diabetics - Grandpa Coldenhoff and Grandpa Butch). Grandpa Butch gave me another book to read, history of course. It is really thick too, but the print is larger so it's easier for me to read and I'm really enjoying it actually! You know how I am about small print. It's not that I can't read it, it's just that it annoys me greatly mentally and is so not cool. I seriously postponed my reading of the Lord 0f the Rings because the first version I got my hands on had tiny print, so I got the special version for people who have glasses for reading!! Today we relaxed. It's been a nice break in our hectic, every day we're going somewhere schedule!! We watched To Save A Life. I'd heard a lot about the movie which made me more cautious, surreptitious at the beginning. But it was a really great movie actually. I've been doing a lot of history lately. Today I was reading up on the Guillotine. It was pretty favored for executions because it was believed to be the fastest most painless death. Take EVERYTHING As A Compliment
This was some recent advice I was given? Interesting right? Okay, yeah, I read it. But still - I think it's pretty funny! Today we got to go to the O'Neills' house, only Em was there (and her dad, who was sleeping). We played Imaginiff again! That game is so hilarious! Yeah some of the questions come out kind of awkward though! Oh well... Zach wasn't there so we hung out alone. Once Lex was tired of Imaginiff - seriously just Lex, she put the game away against our wishes! - we went outside. Some Ninja was played, because we love Ninja like that! Then mom picked us up, we got something to eat and headed straight to Legos. Yes, we were late. The meetings seem to be getting much more productive which is great! We ate cupcakes I had made. They were yellow - I didn't make the connection that there were two recipes, one with and one without egg yokes for the white cake batter... White cake batter + egg yokes = yellow cupcakes... lol. So the meeting was totally awesome! And guess what else? We officially (as of yesterday actually) have hot water again. We called over the retired electrician in the family, ironically again good old grandpa Butch. And he fixed it! Hurray Hurrah! But now that it's the wee hours of the morning I think I'll go to sleep - my ES is coming over tomorrow! Lucky for me not to meet with me! But still - school to do. Night peoples! Remember take everything as a compliment!! Laterz

Girls Just Wanna Have Lunch
Remember I said my last 3 meals had consisted of pizza? It was actually probably closer to 4 or 5, but fear not healthy nuts, for I've now had other things to eat. There was a lot of family drama which I was saved from by my apparent extreme oblivion. Hurray hurrah for oblivion!! As soon as guests started showing up I went to the bedroom. I was getting a sudden creative streak, which, for those of you who were previously unaware, for me means writing since I'm a writer. Once I was in Allison's bedroom I just got tired though, and when my aunt Allison and Nana found me I was half asleep, pen in hand, halfway on and halfway off of Al's bed. "Hey Hay, we're eating now. You should come get some food," Allison said tapping my back gently. "Yeah what're you doing in here?" Asked Nana, "There are kids here your age, you need to be sociable." And so I allowed myself to be coaxed from the bedroom. My Aunt Laura and cousins Jacob and Jarrett were there, Aunt and Uncle Sam-son of course (it was their wedding shower) my grandma Lorri, Nana, step aunt Loren, cousin Macy, Loren's new fiance, and a lot of Nicole and Sam-son's friends. Turns out Loren's pregnant. Again. The "kids my age" were about two guys, who spent their time laughing iver who-knows-what and ignoring everyone else. There was lots of interesting happenings. Two ladies showed up in Chargers shirts, and talked about the Raiders/Cowboys football game. Aunt Laura had to take cousin Jarrett to a basketball game of his, but Jacob got to stay and turned on the aforementioned football game in the living room, which he later prceeded to ruin for his also football loving mother. Niice Jake. What they were really excited about was the Chargers/Raiders game next week. So I hung around, and, as is common for me when in big crowds of people I don't know I got very quiet and hid out at every opportunity. I did talk to my family, of course, uncle Sam-son's really cool and laid back, he's very considerate and awesome. I didn't go swimming, I just chilled in the darkest corner available. My mom made the cake, it was big and nice looking and very good. Frosting haters have to reevaluate their opinions once they've tasted my mom/grandma's frosting. Very different. Very good. Great grandma and grandpa Coldenhoff showed up right before the end of the party to visit with us kids. They're so sweet! After awhile me, my mom, Lily, Katie, and Sammy left. My mom talked most of the ride home on her cell and I was happy to sleep, it seems I'm always tired on car rides of much length. We're home now. It was late when we got home so I just made some crepes for dinner since they're so easy, and we ate and the kids are in bed now. And that's the story of today! Side notes? Girls just wanna have lunch! Thanks Weird Al. Laterz!
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
Yesterday it was just me, my mom, Sam, Kate and Lily at our house when I woke up - our house seemed so empty! Only five people in our house! :)). We were busy for a few hours, packing, cleaning, finding something we'd forgotten to pack, and repacking! Finally we were all packed into the Chrystler and ready to go. We jammed to music most pf the ride - I actually fell asleep and when I woke up (yes again) they had the sunroof open so I was starng at blue sky. It's awesome to just watch the sky fly by at such a fast pace. So we arrived in Redding and pulled up at my Nana and Pa's, which is what we call a pair of my great grandparents in my familia. They have a nice house with a pool, but soon they're selling it... to my grandma Lorri. And getting a new house. We cooked up some cupcakes, and my aunt Nicole and uncle Sam-son arrived to celebrate Bradley's 7th birthday. We opened presents, swam, and ate at least half of 5 pizzas. This means that my last 3 meals (Lunch, Dinner, Breakfast) have consisted of only pizza! My Pa is an AMAZING cook, but I still haven't gotten to taste anything he's cooked this visit, much to my disappointment. Bradley got a lot of Bakugan and Transformers toys. The Transformers I get, they're cool! But Bakugan? That's not even an english word is it? Lame. Today we got up and began getting ready for yet another party my Nana's hosting today - Aunt Nicole and Uncle Sam-son's wedding party. They got married over the weekend so now we're just celebrating. My aunt Nicole's actually pregnant, I can't wait to meet my newest cousin in February/March! I was actually wearing pajamas half the day today, stringing streamers and chasing down Lily, it wasn't until all the women in my family began showing up in dresses that I realized - "Hey maybe I should get dressed...?". I got a hot shower at least, somthing I haven't had in a few days thanks to our water heater having problems - first cold showers I
ve had since Camp Meeting. I don't relish cold showers. That's why I'm glad my Nana and Pa have hot water at their house. Me, Mom and some of the kids are actually driving home today later on. I'm glad ish - not because I'm tired of my family, but because I haven't heard any music today and I'm getting tired of the Disney Channel. And also because I've spent the day and night with my Aunt Allison. Apparently she lives here now. Hurray Hurrah. Anyways see ya all laterz
